Welcome to Uncle Thursday Game Reviews

Welcome to Uncle Thursday Game Reviews, a video podcast dedicated to reviewing video games, and helping you--the consumer--make informed decisions on games you may be looking to try out.

Hard Hitting

UTGR will not be pulling any punches. Expect hard criticism of major faults and high praise for innovations and just overall great games. I will be giving my opinion on whether fans of the genre of each game might be interested in it and whether they should go out and buy it at full price, wait for bargain bin prices, rent it, or just completely avoid it.

Brutally honest reviews. I want them. I will give them.

Video Reviews

This is a video game review site. This is also a podcast. Reading written reviews as just audio won't cut it here. Therefore; this is an all video review podcast, all the time. Bear with me as I go through the learning curves of editing, but as I go through the process, each show should be better then the last, from a technical standpoint.

Expect plenty of in-game footage with each review: in both single and multi-player modes for games that have both.

For Gamers

This is a video podcast for gamers: Casual, Hardcore, and everything in between should hopefully find useful information here.

I do this stuff for you. Not for myself.

By a Gamer

I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600 days. Yeah, I'm old; but this longevity in gaming also allows me to have seen the evolution of gaming from the days of Combat, to the current generation of Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3 games. I know what I like in games, and what I don't like. And my years of experience are here to help you make informed decisions about your gaming money.

Professionalism

I have experience reviewing games.

Over five years of writing for GamesAreFun.com, meeting industry professionals, editorial writing and working with game publisher public relations. You can expect the utmost professionalism in my reviews.

Community

Gamers are a communitave group and I want to allow gamers to use this site as a community to congregate, communicate, debate and have fun. As time goes on I want to add community aspects to the site, such as: user written reviews, user feedback, guest video reviews and maybe even more.

I already have the forums set up, however. Sign up, log in and start posting. Let's get the community started before the first show airs and use the community to make UTGR the best video game review video podcast out there!
